Living to Reign by Receiving

When I think of the life God has called us to live, I see a truth so radical it still amazes me: we are meant to reign, to live victorious and free, through the gift of righteousness we receive in Jesus. I can’t say it enough—our standing with God isn’t about what we do; it’s about what Jesus has already done for us. Righteousness isn’t a prize we earn through our works; it’s the gift we’re invited to receive because of His finished work.

This is where grace comes in. Grace doesn’t leave room for our striving or “good works” to make us more righteous. No, grace steps in where our efforts fall short, providing us with Jesus’ own righteousness. The moment you believe in Him, that gift becomes yours forever. That’s why the Bible tells us that those who receive an abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness will reign in life (Romans 5:17).

Imagine this: the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in you. That means the power of heaven backs you up—not through any merit of your own, but simply because you belong to Jesus. So, you and I are called to walk in this grace daily. When we feel weak, His grace is more than enough. When we fall, His righteousness keeps us upright in God’s sight.

I want you to grasp this deeply: reigning in life means trusting fully in His grace. Let’s let go of the pressure to earn something Jesus already gave us. Let’s take that gift of righteousness and live boldly in the freedom and confidence it provides. There’s nothing left to achieve—only a glorious life to live, empowered by the grace of God.

Let’s continue to go deeper, walk higher, and reign through His grace alone.

Blessings,
